"I, Too" - The Songs and Legacy of Margaret Bonds

 

Margaret Bonds, a gifted composer and pianist, left a rich musical legacy and is known best for her collaborations with poet and friend, Langston Hughes. She was the first African American soloist to perform with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and in this afternoon of songs, we celebrate some of her greatest compositions. Learn more here.
