Join us for an exciting exploration of Don Quixote!
Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote (full title: The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha) is considered one of the most important works of Western literature, often hailed as the first modern novel. Published in two parts, in 1605 and 1615, it’s one of the best-selling and most-translated books of all time, with many authors declaring it the "best book of all time."
Join Piedmont Opera's Monique Farrell for this literary adventure as part of our Once in a Blue Moon book club series. To kick things off, we'll meet virtually on Wednesday, February 19th at 6pm for our first discussion. Piedmont Opera's Artistic Director, Jamie Allbritten, will join our Zoom meeting to co-lead our discussion.
We'll meet again on Wednesday, March 19th, the week before our production of the musical 'Man of La Mancha', for our second virtual meeting. After the show concludes, we’ll gather in person to break bread, reflect, and discuss both the book and the stage performance.
