HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS?
That’s easy! Call Piedmont Opera at (336)724.3202 and speak to the Box Office.

Tickets are just $3.00 per student!

WHAT IS STUDENT NIGHT?
Student Night at the Opera is an opportunity for students in grades 6-12 to witness professional opera performances

Student Night

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. A minimum group of 10 students is required from any school/organization. We require 1 adult chaperone per every 10 students. The chaperone’s admission is $3, however if your group wishes to bring additional chaperones, they will be charged $15 each. (Adults cannot exceed the total number of students present per group.) Each student and chaperone will be issued an individual ticket with seating assignment in order to enter the theatre. Payment is required at time of ticket purchase.

WHAT ABOUT TRAVEL?
Students and chaperones will be responsible for finding their own travel to and from the Stevens Center of UNCSA. If traveling by school/activity bus please let us know ahead of time to arrange for bus parking. Students are encouraged to enter the theatre with their own school group with their tickets in hand.

HOW LONG IS IT?
Typically a final dress rehearsal runs between 2 ½ -3 hours (including any intermissions). Though we would love for your group to see the entire opera, it is perfectly acceptable to leave at intermission due to the fact that this will be a school night for most children. Groups are highly discouraged from leaving at any other point during the performance as it disturbs other patrons. Please take this into account when deciding when your group should leave.
